Diaspora is a project that portrays "Afro-descendant" women in Chile, where many of them belong to the social group "Daughters of Azapa" that aim to preserve the traditions and customs of their ancestors and persevere in the fight against acts of discrimination and racism suffered in childhood and in adults from their hair.

The project focuses its efforts on valuing its presence and energy.

where Chilean society refused the idea that there were dark-skinned compatriots and Africanized traits.

This is the record of their faces, their stories that today proudly show their afro hair in freedom, that for centuries they were denied.

The record was made in medium format, with a professional film fujifilm acros 100 ISO extinct these days in the world and in 35 mm format with Ilford film of 125 iso.
